Since my first corporate job at Eli Lilly, I have taken a variety of personality tests–all of which confirm that I picked the right career. Most companies and agencies pay for such testing of employees as a way for everyone to understand what motivates individuals to perform well in teams.
Several websites offer personality testing, but many have strings attached ranging from fees to sales pitches and incessant emails. I found one that is first rate and free–Jung Typology Test.
By taking the test, you will discover your type formula along with a quantitative measure of each of the four criteria (strengths of the preferences). Once formula and strengths of preferences are obtained, you can:
- Learn about your personality type by reading your type description. This may help you identify your life style in general as well as your style with respect to specific areas such as business, love, education, communications, conflicts.
- Get the list of the most suitable career choices based on your personality, along with some educational institutions where you can receive a relevant degree or training.
When you complete the test, it is scored immediately and you’ll be given four letters signifying your personality profile. The top three personality types in PR are ENFJ, INTJ and INFJ. All are explained in a qualitative analysis of your type at the end of the test. Have fun.
