Mark your calendars for 10:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday, April 15.
The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations is hosting a timely webinar that addresses one of the most-asked questions I receive from college seniors and young professionals: “Should I seek/continue in a job or take a couple of years off to pursue a graduate degree?”
The free, one-hour webinar features Plank Center Director and University of Alabama professor Karla K. Gower, Ph.D., Brandi Boatner, National President of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and Doug Serton, Senior Associate, Heyman Associates, a New York-based PR recruiting firm.
Topics of the webinar include:
- Advantages of taking/staying in a PR job
- Advantages of pursuing a graduate degree
- Evaluating differences and weighing the pros/cons between an MA, MBA and JD degree
- Factors to consider for those who are thinking about graduate school.
Kudos to fellow Plank Center board member Keith Burton, president of Insidedge, for spearheading this program and laying the groundwork for an ongoing series of free webinars. Keith was assisted by Insidedge colleagues Dharma Subramanian and Helen Loosevelt.
