Best Cities for Entry-Level Job Hunt


After my post last week about long-distance job hunting, I heard from several readers seeking suggestions on where to focus their searches.  My obvious recommendation: large cities.  Although some excellent opportunities exist elsewhere, it’s harder to move up or around in smaller markets. does a good job of consolidating a number of “top cities” lists in the U.S.  It consolidates job listings in those cities by profession category. is the source of the following list of best cities for entry-level jobs.  Click on a city for job listings, which also can be sorted by profession (PR jobs are included under Marketing).
