Best Careers 2011: Public Relations

As you know, I’ve been bullish about the prospects for PR jobs for many years.  While we’ve seen signs of growth despite the tough economy, encouraging validation for the future of PR comes via today’s U.S. News and World Report survey of the 50 Best Careers of 2011. 

U.S. News says jobs for PR specialists should see strong growth over the next decade, with a 24% increase in PR jobs by 2018.  In addition to a positive job outlook, the report also says there is upside to salaries.  Average annual PR salaries last year were $51,960, with salaries ranging from less than $30,000 to $96,000-plus.
