DePaul University’s award-winning PRAD program celebrated the hard work of 23 graduate students during last week’s 12th annual Portfolio Showcase.

Fellow students, families, professors and a several advertising and public relations leaders turned out to meet the graduates and view portfolios of their professional-quality work and accomplishments over the past two years. Advise-filled keynote remarks were delivered by Rana Komar, president of new PR firm RUTH (See related story). A powerful highlight of the evening came when each graduate delivered a one-minute “elevator speech” about their college experience and their purpose-driven career goals.

Special shout out to Nina Abnee, the professor who led the personal branding course that helped students produce the portfolios, as well as those who helped make this course and evening such a success — professor Tony Deng, college events coordinator Laurel Shimasaki, DePaul PRSSA volunteers, graduate assistant Jocelynn Dortch, and Mylene Pollack, co-founder of the non-profit consulting firm Small Good, LTD.
